This versatile little cat shape is included with a few options, to make a nice size for either a face scrubby or a small dish scrubby. It would also be very cute as a knitted applique for other projects, or as a coaster!

Two examples in different gauges are provided:

  • a larger one using worsted cotton held together with worsted scrubby yarn, to make a dish scrubby - roughly 4.5”x5”
  • a small one using worsted cotton (and showing the optional intarsia face!), to make a small face scrubby - roughly 4”x3.5”

The intarsia option adds a lot of ends to weave in, but the little face details are worth it!

Yarn:
Worsted weight cotton yarn (4) (in contrasting colours for the intarsia option), approximately 27m/30 yards total. Cotton/scrubby yarn is recommended for dishcloths; but any fibre (or weight) would work for the pattern.

Gauge is not critical for this project, but will affect the finished size and yardage required.

Needles: 4.5mm (US size 7) straight knitting needles for the smaller example, 6mm (US size 10) needles for the larger example.
