V. Notes
• This pattern uses standard US crochet terminology.
• The total number of stitches for each row is indicated in parentheses at the end of each
row instruction.
• The Head (including the Eyes, Ears, Nose, Whiskers, Tentacles, and Suckers) is
assembled first, followed separately by the rest of the body. This is to minimize the amount of unnecessary pulling/stretching between the head and body that would occur if the facial details and Tentacles were added after attaching the Head to the Body.
• Make sure the Legs and Body are firmly stuffed so that they can support the Head.
• In addition to different colors of yarn, this pattern uses two different textures of
worsted weight yarn to create tactile variety.
• Make sure to place a stitch marker in the first stitch of each row so as not to lose your
place. I’ve decided to not to do this so many times and always regretted it!
• The yarn color palate is ONLY a suggestion. Your Cat-thulhu should be any color(s)
YOU want!
