Simple but elegant, Catalina is a triangle worked from the bottom up with an easy lace pattern along two edges. The yarn adds a touch of luxury and softness to this large shawl.
Can easily be made larger or smaller - see notes below and on page 2 of the pattern.

This pattern was first published as the Summer Sun shawl (yellow photo) in Simply Knitting issue 200.

Materials:
Manos Del Uruguay Fino (4ply; 70% merino wool/30% silk; 450m/490yds per 100g skein) x 2 skeins. Shown in shade: SF432 Admiral
4mm (UK8/US 6) knitting needles (80cm/32in circular needles recommended)

Decreases: k2tog, ssk, sk2po

Wingspan: 115cm/46in
Depth: 96cm/38½in

Tension:
14 sts and 32 rows over 10cm/4in in Garter Stitch after blocking.
Exact tension is not essential but a difference in tension may affect the final size and amount of yarn used.

Pattern Notes:
This shawl can easily be made larger or smaller. After any full repeat of Chart C, work the Garter Stitch rows and cast off.
