The Expansion Pack is a comprehensive 34-page instant download PDF of crochet patterns for the following cats:

Each type of cat is fully charted and includes written instructions for the modified rounds and step-by-step photos. The cats are worked using crochet colour changes and the faces are embroidered on afterwards. The PDF also includes full instructions on how to turn your squares into a delightful Catalog Cushion (note: cushion includes the 3 cat squares from the original Catalog Square pattern).

CROCHET TERMINOLOGY
The Expansion Pack is written in English in UK crochet terms. A conversion chart to US terms in included.

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY
Put on your thinking hat; these squares are a satisfying challenge and are aimed at experienced crocheters. The six cats vary in difficulty but all of them require concentration. The cushion is an easy project.

THINGS YOU’LL NEED

• DK/Light Worsted weight yarn. I specify 19 colours of Cascade 220 Superwash (100% superwash wool, 100g (3.5oz) / 220 yds (200m)).
• Fingering weight yarn for the face embroidery. I specify 3 colours of Cascade Heritage 6 (75% superwash merino / 25% nylon, 100g (3.5oz) / 437 yds (400m)).
• 4mm and 5mm hooks (US G/6 and H/8). The paws also use a 2mm hook (US B/1).
• 7.5mm safety eyes (or beads, buttons or yarn).
• The usual crochet notions: stitch marker, tapestry needle, scissors.
• For the cushion project, a 40cm (16in) cushion inner.

MEASUREMENTS
Using a 4mm (US G/6) hook, one square measures 13 x 13cm (5 x 5in) after blocking. The cushion measures 40cm (16in) square.
