This flippant shawlette gets a double dose of asymmetry, pairing an asymmetric triangle shape with an asymmetric stitch pattern from Barbara Walker’s Third Treasury. This “mistake version” of the Falling Leaves stitch pattern morphs into more flowing organic forms. The untraditional (but very wearable!) body shape is created by casting on just a few stitches and increasing at one side only; a traditional lace border is worked at one side simultaneously with the body and applied along the final edge in lieu of a bind off.
