Catch the Wind Shawl
Catch the Wind Shawl is a garden of color using 3 different motifs in 3 sizes, large squares, small squares and rectangles. To emphasize garden feel, the rectangles surround a leaf design, The rectangle is created during construction when the leave is woven into the space. The motifs sizes are complementary: 4 small squares or 2 rectangles equal 1 large square. Colors are remixed for each motif to create variety and interest. The shawl has a simple edging of sc and mini tassels decorate the short ends. The shawl can be made smaller as a scarf or cowl. For the intermediate crocheter, use fingering or dk yarn. For a greater challenge, try silk mohair, as seen in the original design.
