For a fun exercise in striping, look no further than the Cate Cardigan. This playful sweater with two-toned sleeves is worked back and forth in reverse stockinette stitch.

Finished Size 33.75 (37.75, 42, 46, 50, 54)“ bust circumference, buttoned. Cardigan shown measures 37.75”; modeled with 5.75” of positive ease.
Yarn Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock (80% superwash merino wool, 20% nylon; 430 yd / 3.5 oz): #60 waistcoat (teal; MC), 2 (2, 3, 3, 3, 3) skeins; #65 putty (CC1), 1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 2) skein(s); #38 brick (CC2), 2 (2, 3, 3, 3, 3) skeins.
Needles Size 1 (2.25 mm): 32” circular. Size 2 (2.75 mm): 24” circular. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers; removable markers; stitch holders; tapestry needle; five .75” buttons.
Gauge 31 sts and 43 rows = 4” in rev St st on larger needle.
Notes This cardigan is worked back and forth in pieces from the bottom up and seamed. Waist shaping occurs on the back only.
