February 20 through May 20 (2019) - purchase one skein of Caterpillar II yarn from Spunky Eclectic and receive the pattern free.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
Bottom circumference 50(56,62) inch
Shoulder to hem length 11 inches
MATERIALS:
Yarn: 1(1,2) skein of Spunky Eclectic Caterpillar II 250 yards (229m) in Colorway: “Lobster”
Needles: US13 (9mm) Use one 32 inch (or larger) circular as magic loop or use 16 inch and 32 inch. (or size needed to obtain gauge)
Gauge: 7 sts and 12 rows = 4 ins (10cm) in St st
Note: There are instructions to make the cowl longer into a more poncho or cape like item and also to make it wider. You will need more yarn then called for if you plan to make it bigger then specified.
It really is a simple but elegant construction. The yarn does the heavy lifting for you.
