The Catharine Sock is designed as a soft, cosy, ‘at-home’ sock. The strand of mohair gives them hidden strength and shaping. They are knitted in stockinette stitch in the round from the toe up ending with a folded down top.

This sock is available in 2 sizes - the finished measurements are 7 (8.75)” | 18 (22) cm foot circumference. Suggested fit is 1” (2.5cm) of negative ease when measured at the widest part of the foot.

Gauge: 18 sts & 27 rows = 4 x 4 inches / 10 x 10 cm

Suggested Needles: 4.5mm (US / UK size 7) – 32” / 80cm circular needle or needle size to achieve correct gauge for your knitting style.

Suggested Yarn: One strand of Feeling Good Yarn by Wool and The Gang held together with one strand of Silk Mohair from La Bien Aimée or similar yarns that give similar gauge. Catharine sock is knitted by holding one strand of each yarn together at the same time. The pattern uses approximately 110 - 150 meters of each yarn.
