The pattern is worked on a set of five double-pointed needles in order to distribute the stitch pattern symmetrically across the four working needles.

The pattern calls for approximately 165 yards of each of the following colors:

• Black
• Gold
• Red
• Red-Orange
• Purple
• Blue
