We were in need of a new alter cloth at my church so I designed this for it. It works beautifully as an alter cloth, table runner or scarf. The pattern includes instructions for both the table runner and the scarf. The instructions are both written and charted. Since this is not a fitted item different yarns and gauges can be used. For the linen I wanted an open look to the stitches so I used a larger needle than the yarn suggested.
So feel free to be creative with yarn choice and gauge.
Size: Table Runner: 18 inches wide and 73 inches long. Scarf: 11 inches wide and 40 inches long.
