Thank you for your interest in my Catherine Shawl! I have been wanting to design a triangle shawl for a long time, but it always seemed intimidating to me. I came across some old pictures from when I first started Jo’s Crafty Hook and it was a triangle shawl. I told myself “self, you have done this before!” One of my friends on Facebook saw my old picture and she told me that the design would be a perfect Mother’s Day make, so I named the shawl after her. So this is how the Catherine Shawl came to be!
I used 700 yards of #3 ply or DK Lightweight Yarn. I used Lion Brand Mandala Yarn. ( 6 oz/380 yds)
Notes:
The shawl is worked in rows.
Alternate Chain 3 counts as a stitch.
You can substitute a chain 4 in place of the Alternate Chain 3.
Every row will increase.
There are Video Tutorials inside the crochet pattern for Left or Right Hand Puff Stitches.
You could use any type of yarn you prefer in making this Shawl. It would even be a great scrap buster.
