Catmint is a cropped and very oversized sweater with a pretty flower and cat yoke pattern and billowing sleeves. It’s also - on me, anyway - a massively confidence-boosting knit. When I wear this
sweater I stand up straighter - shoulders back, chin up - and I feel that I can conquer the world.

This sweater is designed to be worn with a lot of ease - at least 20cm, and up to about 50cm. It’s oversized everywhere, with a deep yoke and wide sleeves. The turned hem adds some weight and swish.

Options

There are instructions for adding or removing length for the sleeves and body.

If you prefer shapes to flowers there’s an alternative yoke chart provided at the end of the pattern. It’s still got a bit of cat in it!

If you love the yoke of this sweater but not the oversized crop shape don’t worry; I’ll be releasing a more conventionally shapes sweater with the same pattern later this year.

Yarn

The sweater pictured here was knit in Rosy Green Wool Lovely Merino Treat (210m to 100gr, 100% organic merino wool). I used shade 114 (Taupe) for the main colour, and shade 053 (Sand) for the contrast.

The alternative yoke was knit in John Arbon Devonia DK in Cinder Glow for the main colour. For the contrast I used Devonia 4ply, held double, in Broken Flower, Amber Blaze, Pollen Gold and Sugar Snap.
