Cats in the Garden
The raglan version of this sweater can be found here.
This sweater is worked in the round from the bottom up to the arms. It is then worked flat for the front then the back. Stitches are cast off for the neck and the shoulders are finished and cast off. The sleeves are worked in the round from the wrist until the sleeve cap. Then they are worked flat until cast off. Stitches are picked up and knit around the neck and ribbing is worked to finish the neck. Sleeves are sewn in using the mattress stitch.
There are 18 cats to choose from for this sweater. The cats are worked in fair isle stranded knitting around the bottom of the sweater. Each size will have a corresponding number of cats. It is up to the knitter to decide on and arrange the cats according to preference. A huge number of variations are possible.
I’m using Miro Yarn superwash worsted weight wool (200 m / 219 yds) / 100 g, or any worsted / double knit weight yarn
