These Catskill Mountain fingerless mittens are knit in the round on 4 double pointed needles. We use purl stitches against a primarily stockinette stitch background to create the tiny “mountains”. These mittens keep your palms and wrists warm but your fingers are free for activities like texting on your phone! This pattern was written for hands measuring 8 inches (20.32 cm) from middle finger to wrist and 6 inches (15.24 cm) in wrist circumference but they are very easily modified.

What you will need:
135 yards (123 m) of Worsted Weight Yarn (Category 4) such as Lion Brand Wool Ease
4 size US 6 (4 mm) double pointed knitting needles
Tapestry yarn needle
Scissors

Skill level: Intermediate

Skills needed: Casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, binding off, knitting in the round.
