Catskill Mountain Shawl
Both written instructions and charts are within this pattern with two versions of the shawl included, a split circular, and a circular.
Difficulty level: Average
Needle size: US6 – 11 circular, 36 – 40 inch or greater length
Finished size: Depends on yarn, needle size and desired length.
Yarn requirements: 1100 – 2400 yards depending on type of yarn used and total length of shawl.
Notions: 8 stitch markers, 8 contrasting markers
Pattern use for knit-a-long, KAL: I will discount the price of this pattern to a group formed for the purpose of a knit-a-long but would like to politely request notification before such a group is formed. :) Thanks!
Pattern Notes: The written directions for this shawl are for the split circular version. There are separate set-up rows and charts for the circular shawl through row 14 and then charts are used to work the pattern. Each row begins and ends with 4 stitches in the seed stitch pattern. These stitches are not shown on the charts. A worsted/aran weight yarn is recommended with needles in sizes 7 or 8 but any yarn can be substituted from a sport weight to bulky. Adjust needle sizes according to yarn specifications. The shawl can be worked in any length desired; for best results work through row 136 and then choose the edge that you prefer to finish.
