Cauda draconis ist lateinisch und bedeutet “Drachenschwanz” und kam mir während des Strickens mit dem rotschattierten Sockengarn in den Sinn.
Mir fiel während des Befolgens der Strickschrift auf, dass das Tuch einem Drachenschwanz ähnelt.
Je nachdem wie man das Tuch nach dem Beenden spannt, kann es einfach grafisch aussehen oder aber einem mystisch, feurigen Drachenschwanz ähneln.

Die Anleitung folgt einem Chart und hat kurze Erklärungen für Beginn und Ende.

Cauda draconis is latin and means “Dragon´s Tail” and came to my mind while knitting with the red hue sockyarn, following the pattern and recognizing that the shawl looks like a tail of a dragon.
It depends on your blocking after finishing the shawl wether it looks simply graphic or more like a mysterious fiery dragon´s tail!

The pattern is charted, short instructions for beginning and end

Fingering / 4 ply (approx. 460 yards / 420m)
I used 100g handdyed sockyarn 4ply

145cm x 35cm when working the rapport 3 times but can be resized by varying the number of pattern repeats or worked in a different gauge by changing yarn weight and needles
