The Cava Cardigan is a fluffy, elegant drop-shoulder cardigan. It is a very fast, nice and useful project to use Mohair yarn left overs. The cardigan is knitted from the top down. First, the upper back is worked flat, back and forth, until the armhole depth is reached. Then, stitches are picked up along the back shoulders for the front sections of the yoke, the front neck is shaped, and the fronts are knitted straight to the armhole. After this, the back and fronts are joined together, and the body is worked in one piece. For the sleeves, stitches are picked up along the armhole and knitted in the round until the cuff.

Needles
6 mm (US10) / 80 or 100 cm and 4.5 mm (US7)/ 80 or 100 cm.
6 mm (US10) and 4.5 mm (US7) double-pointed needles or 80 cm circular needle (for Magic Loop)

Gauge
13 sts and 19 rows to 10 cm ( 4 in) measured over stockinette stitch using 6 mm needles (US10) or the necessary needles to obtain the gauge. 

La chaqueta Cava es una prenda esponjosa y elegante, que se teje muy rápidamente. Además es muy práctica para aprovechar restos de hilo de mohair. Se teje de arriba hacia abajo, comenzando por la espalda, que se trabaja en plano hasta alcanzar la sisa. A continuación, se recogen puntos en los hombros para formar los delanteros y dar forma al cuello. Una vez alcanzadas las sisas, se unen la espalda y los delanteros para trabajar el cuerpo en una sola pieza. Las mangas se confeccionan recogiendo los puntos alrededor de las sisas y tejiéndolas en redondo hasta los puños.
