“Pointe de Sel” means pinch of salt. But to me it signals extra flavour - somehow a little salt makes sweetness all the sweeter.

Using a yarn like malabrigo or a special handspun is the knitting equivalent - everything looks just a bit more sophisticated than with 2 solids .

You can use just the one special yarn, or two, but make sure that you have good contrast between ALL the colours in both yarns or the motifs will look blurred.

The cushion is worked in the round and seamed and both ends.
The colourwork is stranded with no catching of floats.

The 30 x 50 cm (12 x 18”) cushion shown used 150m/165m of each yarn.
A sizing table is included so that you can make other sizes - just be sure to allow more yarn for larger sizes.

there is also a cowl pattern - Pointe de Sel
