The Cedarvale Cowl is a short cowl worked in the round and featuring 2x2 cables that work up to resemble wheat sheaves or the vaulting in gothic architecture. Each row of the pattern repeat is easy to memorize, giving you a visually complex surface texture that’s straightforward to knit.

This pattern is for you if… You are an unabashed lover of mini-cables and ample negative space that sets them off.

Move along if… Lots and lots of cables are not your idea of a good time.

YARN
193 yards (177 meters) / 101 grams (3.6oz) worsted weight yarn that showcases cables well.

If you choose to use Malabrigo Rios, the cowl can be knit in just under one skein, though you may need to dip into your swatch if you find yourself running short at the end.
