Céide Fields Mitts
The Céide Fields (Irish: Achaidh Chéide, meaning “fields of the flat-topped hill”) is an archaeological site that I once visited in Co. Mayo on the west coast of Ireland. The weather was windy and chilly for May, I thought, and I wished that I had the foresight to pack a pair of gloves for this spring visit. Since the colors of the Mayo flag are Green and red, the name for these mitts seems to fit perfectly. Please knit your mitts in any color you like!
