Celebrate Differences
This simple pattern was specifically designed to show off the unique characteristics of Halo Bundle yarn. One skein of Halo Bundle is really 2 skeins of different yarns that are dyed together. One is a smooth merino and the other is an ultra fluffy mohair. The yarns can be knit together for a soft halo effect, or separately for textural interest and contrast. This pattern uses the yarns both separately and together to celebrate the differences and appreciate the beautiful colors that these luxury yarns have in common.
The pattern is quite simple--nothing more complicated than garter stitch or stockinette, with yarnover increases for shaping.
Because the unique property of the yarn is what makes this pattern special, yarn substitution is not recommended. Yardage recommendations won’t translate directly to other brands because you really have twice as much yardage when you knit with the halo yarns separately as opposed to knitting with them together. The pattern as written used approximately 3/4 of one Halo Bundle. (300 meters of both yarns together or 600 meters counting each yarn separately).
This pattern is also available for free with yarn purchase from my site, knittersjourney.com
