Celebration Coasters
A free crochet pattern for an elegant, lacy set of coasters and matching holder. Perfect for an easy to make gift!
In addition to yarn you will need a needle to sew in ends and an iron to block the coasters (blocking only takes about a minute per coaster). You will also need 1m of ribbon to make the tie for the holder, or 1m of chained yarn in a contrasting colour.
Gauge is not important for this pattern. The coasters I made with Lily Sugar’n Cream yarn were about 10cm/4in across, and the ones made with Rico Creative Cotton Aran were about 9cm/3.5in across.
One coaster uses around 12 yards of yarn; a set of 6 coasters and the holder uses about 100 yards.
