I chose Acrylic yarn for this pattern, ’cos it’s soft, durable & the ideal yarn to be used for heirloom socks! You may be happy to opt for Alpaca of the Heartbeats line, which has Acrylic in sufficient quantity for it to be used to make durable socks. (Alpaca also has lovely colors which i am planning to use for Socks for the First Lady.) These socks are perfect for wearing in the house in this cold weather. Of course, if your boots are roomy, they are perfect as boot socks for around town as well. Choose fun colors and knit them for yourself or as a gift which will be appreciated.
