Celeste is a simple and understated bandana cowl with a lovely drape that you just drop over your head. There are no ends to wrap and you get the look of a boomerang scarf with the ease of a cowl.

Celeste is crocheted flat, wet blocked and then joined with an easy whip stitch seam to form the cowl shape. Easy instructions for wet blocking and seaming are included.

The stitch pattern is a simple mesh with interesting side edging stitches.

And, you can crochet a small or medium cowl with about 210 (~50 grams) of fingering weight yarn and a large size with about 250 yards. I used one skein of Brooklyn Tweed Peerie (210 yards/50 grams) in the colors “Morel” and “Cassis” for my two cowls.
