Celeste
This fat little girl bear can be made either with or without the outfit, and the pattern includes instructions to make her with or without shoes. The pattern also includes the bear and her outfit, consisting of the dress, cardigan, hat, panties, and purse.
I used punch thread for the bear (available from www.tedsfromthreads.com), and Valdani size 12 perle cotton for her clothes, with a size 12 hook, which makes a 3-inch bear. However, you may change the size of the bear by varying the size of the thread or yarn and the hook that you use to crochet her. For instance, if you use tatting thread and a size 16 hook (.4mm) to make the bear and the clothing, you’ll have a 1-7/8-inch bear, approximately. Always use the same size thread and hook for the bear and for the clothing.
The pattern is clearly written, with a great deal of detail. It includes instructions for jointing the bear. She has a cotter pin/disk jointed head, and thread jointed arms and legs. The little stand shown in some of the pictures is not included in the pattern, but I’ll send you the pattern separately if you request it.
