There is row by row instructions and a simple chart for the design in the back of the poncho.
This is an over the head, loose roomy poncho, with open sides and a hoodie.

This warm loose knit sweater type poncho has two different cabling stitches, besides the diamond brocade stitch throughout the design. I would say it isn’t for a beginner, but an intermediate knitter should have no problem. The cable designs are not complicated once you know how to do them.

This poncho made with the yarn specified can be machine washed and dried, making it a great wash and wear style
