Celtic Diamond Cable Shawl
Description
This Celtic diamond shawl is a modern version of the traditional Aran cable motif. This crochet shawl uses post-stitches to generate ribbed diamonds, and cable stitches to create textured diamonds. These two types of diamonds are interleaved or tiled across the shawl’s surface making an intricate and elegant balance of visual texture.

Shawl Dimensions:
Small Size: 37 inches wide by 8.5 inches tall
Medium Size: 46 inches wide by 10 inches tall
Large Size: 59 inches wide by 11 inches tall
Shawl Gauge:
Small Size: 5.5 sc stitches in 1 inch across, 4.5 sc rows in 1 inch high. (Fingering weight)
Medium Size: 4.5 sc stitches in 1 inch across, 4 sc rows in 1 inch high.
Large Size: 3.5 sc stitches in 1 inch across, 3.5 sc rows in 1 inch high.
Note: Use the extended sc stitches for gauge swatch described in the Abbreviations and Terminology section below.
