Celtic Flower Carpet
This pattern produces a round carpet that is 155 cm in diameter.
The carpet is actually worked in a spiral, so as to avoid that ugly seam that appears at the beginning/ending of the round.
I used about 1500 meters of cotton string (5 mm thick) and a 9 mm crochet hook, which is size M or N in the US. The whole work took me 10 hours.
You can use any yarn, but remember one thing: the crochet hook needs to be almost twice as thick as the yarn!!! If you use a yarn of different thickness than my 5 mm string then the diameter will change, but I can’t predict by how much.
