Here is a “simple” crochet heart Celtic knot pattern.

Though this is not a beginner’s pattern, I have included written, charted, and video instructions.

When stitched with worsted weight yarn, the finished square is 10 inches across, but can easily be increased to 11 or 12 inches with the addition of a border.
