You will need two 100g skeins of Rowan Fine Art in 304 Raven (used double) plus 50g of any red DK yarn for the celtic hearts.

The scarf starts with a knotted openwork lace pattern then the intarsia celtic hearts are incorporated within the lace pattern, two markers will be needed to mark where the intarsia heart pattern begins and ends within the knotted openwork lace pattern.

To finish off, a 4mm crochet hook is used to make a blanket stitch type edging to each end of the scarf.
