Celtic Knot Afghan
I saw a wonderful Celtic Knot in the Book of Kells and thought, “I can chart that” and here are the results! Plus, I just had to add in filler because it just did not look right all by itself! Just made it a bit fancier!
This pattern can be knit using almost any size yarn above a (2) weight yarn. I used a (2) weight yarn on the smaller afghan and it measures 28 inches square. I used a (4) weight yarn on the larger one and it measures 37 inches square.
Pattern is knit from the center out, starting with DPNs and then progressing through longer circular needles.
Pattern is both written out and charted.
While a gauge is provided, it is not essential to meet it! This is an afghan, not a garment to be worn. :slightly_smiling_face:
And if you want, go with either a larger yarn or mix and match two different sizes. Go wild if that is what you want to do!
There are no super fancy stitches on this pattern. Just knit, yarn over, kfb, k2tog, ssk, and cdd. And the bigger spaces have the number filled in!
Thank you for choosing my pattern and thanks to all the wonderful test knitters.
