Turning the panel into a blanket:
Starting at corner, in the side loops put 2 DC in each, 3 ch at the corner, 2 DC, skip 1,on next side, ch 3, 2DC in each down next side, ch 3, 2 DC, skip 1,on next side. Ch 3 up (note: you may want to make it wider at the sides than it is to begin with to make it more blanket shaped, in this case when you get to the end of the side you will want to chain 3 up and go back down the same side.)
2 DC in the gaps formed by the previous row, ch 3 for corners. Repeat this step ad inifinitum (or until you’ve reached the size you want)
