This pattern is from my ebook featuring Jorstad Creek yarn. The yarn colorways were created for these patterns. It requires 2 hanks of different multi color, long colorways. And 2 solid colors to do both bags.
Kodiak yarn has 252 yds per hank.

If you choose to use Poems or Gina yarn for your long color ways I would get 5 skeins to be safe.

It also has instructions on how to felt the bags.
