The Chunky Celtic Cable Saxon Braid shawl has a mixed pattern of cables of different sizes with a centre pattern of a repeating Saxon braid on the back panel. This shawl also has the added feature of roomy pockets in front - perfect for keeping you cozy. The design of this shawl was inspired by my very popular Chunky Celtic Cable Saxon Braid Blanket pattern.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate.

SUGGESTED MATERIALS: 4 balls of Bernat Alize Blanket-EZ Yarn (6.4oz, 180g) (Image shown is the colour ‘Burgundy’). (Back piece = 1 ball, scarf = 2 balls, pockets and trim/binding = 1 ball).

SUGGESTED TOOLS: No needles required (finger knitting). Scissors.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Medium/Large. Approximately 30” long by 30” wide. Approx. 18” along shoulder from neck to elbow.

PLEASE NOTE: Using different loop yarn brands will yield a garment of different dimensions, and as such it is not recommended.
