The Celtic Twist Cable Blanket pattern has a repeating pattern of interlaced and twisted cables. This design is an easier version of our Chunky Celtic Twist Blanket. While that version uses chunky cables, this easier version uses only knit, purl and criss-cross stitches to create the look of interlaced cables.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate.

SUGGESTED MATERIALS: 5 balls of Bernat Alize Blanket-EZ Yarn (6.4oz, 180g) (Image shown is the colour ‘Country Blue’).

SUGGESTED TOOLS: No needles required (finger knitting). Scissors.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 42” x 48” (106.5 cm x 122 cm).

PLEASE NOTE: This pattern will work with any brand of loop yarn, but keep in mind that the size of the loops, and size of the balls/skeins of each brand is different.

Alize Puffy can be substituted and the blanket will be the same size, but you will need more skeins of yarn. Lion Brand Off-The-Hook and Red Heart Loop-It yarns can be used with this pattern, but will yield a blanket with smaller overall dimensions. You will also need more balls/skeins to complete the pattern as is.
