Cemetery Tour
Crochet Technique: Overlay Mosaic Crochet
After our vacation to New Orleans, I was inspired to design this Cemetery Tour bookmark. Of course, while we were there we had to take a tour of the famous St. Louis Cemetery. Our tour guide did an amazing job of incorporating the history of the city, respect for the deceased, and taught us about the fascinating burial process used in the cemetery. Truely a tour we’ll never forget!
Now you too can create your own Cemetery Tour bookmark using my quick crochet project pattern. It only uses 20 yards of crochet thread (10 yards of each color) and has less than 15 rows. Instructions include how to add a border - not an envelope border! - and how to make a tassel for the bookmark.
Final size is 6” long by 2 1/2” tall, not including the tassel.
To complete this bookmark you will need:
Color A: Aunt Lydia’s Crochet Size 10 Cotton Thread in Black, approx. 10 yards
Color B: Aunt Lydia’s Crochet Size 10 Cotton Thread in Purple, approx. 10 yards
1.5 mm hook
