Zig-zagging brioche stripes roam the surface of simple garter stitch. A rolled stockinette hem provides a clean and reversible edging, which complements the two-sided beauty of brioche stitch.

By pairing very simple brioche technique with basic garter stitch, this pattern appeals to all skill levels. Only one color is worked per round, and all the shaping is worked in the garter stitch sections.

You will love the versatility of this design. It drapes nicely around the neck when worn loose, and can bundle nicely inside a closed coat collar to provide protection in poor weather.

Yarns used: 2 Skeins of mYak Baby Yak Medium (Worsted, 100% yak, 125 yards/114m, 50 grams).
MC - Lazy Day (medium blue) - 1 skein
CC - Midnight Blue (navy) - 1 skein
Needles: US 7 (4.5mm) 16”(40cm) circular needle or size to obtain gauge.
Yardage: 250 yards (228m).
Gauge:
-16 st x 32 rounds = 4” (10cm) garter st (before blocking).
-15 st x 40 rounds = 4” (10cm) garter st (after blocking).
-10 sts x 40 rounds = 4” (10cm) brioche (after blocking).
Other Notions: 4 stitch markers, Large-eye needle for weaving in ends.
Final Measurements: A - 25” (64 cm), B - 8” (20 cm).
