The Cerisette beret is a very accessible project for a beginner fair isle knitter as it uses two colours for the simple and includes charts for the body and crown (with stitch count for every decrease round), as well as a chart of the entire hat so you can have a clear overview of the hat’s construction.

I have also included two further colourways, a dark one using 7 colours, a light one using 8 colours, and now a Shetland colourway for more adventurous knitters.

I’ve also included a link to an online resource detailing how to make yorkshire buttons, they are quite addictive once you start.

The hat is designed to fit an adult head circumference of 55/21.6inches to 58cms/23 inches with two sizing options : Standard adult size (to be worn more firmly around the head), Relaxed adult size (to be worn slightly more loosely over the ears)
