Cesar Top

This pattern is beginner friendly and contains video links of the different methods used.
ABOUT PATTERN
The Cesar Top is worked from the top down in stockinette stitch.
First, work the back of the yoke, then work the shoulders, the
front and finally the body.
The yokes are worked back and forth and the body is knitted
in the round.
Rib edges are worked along the body and at the neck edge.
Color changes will not be shown in this pattern. The purpose
of this pattern is to let your creativity flow and use your
scrap yarn.

S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL
Sizes above correspond to the following chest measurements :
81-86 (87-92) 93-98 (99-104) 105-110 (111-116) 117-122 cm
Measure your chest size to determine which size will fit you the
best.
MEASURMENTS
The Cesar Top is designed to have approx. 12 cm of positive
ease, meaning it is designed to be 12 cm larger in circumference
than your bust measurement.
Finished bust circumference measured under the armpits:
95-102-110-114-118-122-128 cm
Photos above: Size M, chest size 90 cm.
YARN AND MATERIALS
Approx. 145 (170) 195 (220) 245 (270) 295 g of scrap yarn. For
the Cesar Top in the photos, the following yarns were used:
Organic Brushed Alpaca, KAOS YARN (6 threads held together)
Super KidSilk Mohair, MAYFLOWER (6 threads held together)
Flully, WOW BY KATIA (1 thread) I’m testing this yarn in
preview, it will be out soon.
Circular needles 7 mm 80 cm rib edges
Circular needles 8 mm 80 cm body
Tapestry needle
GAUGE
Average gauge: 11 stitches x 15 rows = 10 x 10 cm in Stockinette
Stitch, 8 mm circular needles
Make a swatch to achieve the same gauge as indicated above.
Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on
10 cm = 4”, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few
stitches on 10 cm = 4”, change to a smaller needle size.
