A good chai is the ultimate comfort drink, with plenty of spices to warm your bones against the late autumn chill. The Chai socks are made to supplement this feeling, with alternating milk and tea coloured stripes and a cozy folded cuff to keep you comfy while you drink your chai.

The cuff is worn turned down, and can be worn folded in the middle or further down to make the cuff appear longer or shorter.

Sizes
There are four sizes in the pattern: 1 (18cm foot circumference), 2 (20cm foot circumference), 3 (22.5cm foot circumference), and 4 (25cm foot circumference). Note that the sizes listed are measured around the sock, so find your size by measuring your foot and then subtracting 10%.

Yarn and Yardage
Two contrasting colours are needed for this pattern. You can choose two tonal/solid yarns, or one tonal/solid and one speckled/variegated yarn for extra contrast.

The colour for the cuff, toe, and stripes uses approx. 90 - 160 yards, and the main colour for the leg, heel, and foot uses approx. 160 - 190 yards.

Notions
Knitting needles (DPNs or circulars), stitch markers, darning needle, and sock blockers.

This pattern is suitable for beginner sock knitters who are familiar with cuff down, in the round, heel flap and gusset sock construction. Knowledge of how to carry yarn up in the round is also needed.
