Chain Cable Scarf
This pattern is for a scarf with basketweave and chain cable aran stitches. The pattern suggests 6mm (size 10) needles and 9WPI (worsted) yarn but you can use larger needles or a thinner yarn for a looser knit. The photo shows it knit on 6mm needles with 9WPI yarn.
Gauge is given for reference, but is optional. With the stated gauge I got 8 inches from every 60 yards of handspun. This works out to:
18 inch neckwarmer: 135 yards
3 foot scarf: 270 yards
5 foot scarf: 450 yards
7 foot scarf: 630 yards
