A basic crocheted scarf that takes little time and a minimal amount of yarn for more giving in a pattern that never goes out of style. Anyone who can double crochet, should be able to make this scarf; however, it does involve a chain-free double crochet foundation. It only takes a little practice to get the hang of this fun technique.

Abbreviations (US terms):

  • ch = chain
  • dc = double crochet
  • fdc = foundation double crochet (see special stitches)

Materials:

  • 7 oz. Worsted weight yarn in main color of choice (MC)
  • Small amount worsted weight yarn in coordinating color (CC)
  • Size H8/5.00mm crochet hook
  • Yarn needle for weaving in ends
