This is a double knit pattern using textured stitches for adults.
Yarn and needles are of choice, it makes a wonderfully thick scarf in worsted weight, sport or fingering would be better for a long scarf to be tied or draped

An equal amount of yardage in each color is required. I would try the pattern in different yarns and needle sizes to see what is preferred as with all scarf patterns.
