Chainring Shawl
A bicycle chainring converts the reciprocating motion of the rider’s legs into rotational motion. Although the chainring is a small part of the bicycle as a whole, it is essential for setting the bike and the rider in motion. The decrease stitches and simple pulled up loops of yarn in the chainring shawl pattern create a unique circular stitch that is reminiscent of a bike’s chainring. Creating these lovely stitches will drive your knitting and soon you will be wearing your beautiful new shawl.
The Chainring Shawl is a 3/4 shaped shawl. This comfortable shape drapes beautifully when worn. The repeating pattern is easily memorized and fun to do. The shawl is knit in Bug and Mouse Fibers sport weight yarn in the color Bomb Pop. This yarn is wonderful to knit.
Today is a great day to take a bike ride and then enjoy some relaxing knitting.
