The Silja yarn originally used in the pattern has been discontinued, but a smooth heavy fingering weight or light sport weight yarn, such as Bollicine Dolly is a good substitute. Pattern uses a simple mosaic stitch in a solid for the main color and a variegated for the contrast color. Average adult size socks require 1 - 50 gr. ball of each color.
