This pattern is a design using chakra symbols, energy centres in body, their corresponding colours and order. Chakras are part of many practices like yoga, which is part of my everyday life and I absolutely love it. It brings me happiness and peace (and so does crocheting) and because I couldn’t find any pattern related to yoga I really liked, I decided to design my own and offer it to others as well.

It is made using overlay mosaic crochet technique. It contains a digital chart for each chakra symbol, mosaic crochet explanation, advice on how to read the chart, photos and written pattern for the first ten rows of this size throw, to help you understand reading the charts if you are new to mosaic crochet. The actual digital charts for each panel are 62 stitches by 63 rows.

Each chart can be used to make pillows, wall hanging, anything you like…Your creativity has no boundaries and I would love to see what you
make!

Normally, you would be able to decide which colours you want to use for your project but because each chakra corresponds with a certain colour, I would highly recommend using those colours: red, orange, yellow, green, light blue, indigo, purple.
You will also need another contrast colour for the actual chakra symbols design. I have chosen white. All in DK yarn.

For the throw I’ve made (finished size cca 75cm x 250cm) ,I needed 2 x 100g balls of each colour and 5 x 100g balls of white yarn.
100g = approx 280m
(I didn’t use the whole balls - approx 1 and little bit of each colour and 4 and half of colour white.)

As you can see on the photos, this is not a typical single size blanket, it’s longer due to the seven different panels. I have included some sizing advice in the pattern and you are welcome to message me if you have any questions.
