El chal Elicio, forma parte del “Retoteje3palabras” organizado por Antonio de @beagleknits y Marta y Miguel de @merinoferoz.
Este reto consiste en hacer un diseño propio, basado en 3 palabras.

En esta edición, debíamos usar un teñido sólido y basarnos en el fauno y el relámpago.
Las secciones de punto bobo en color morado, representan el relámpago, ya que es el color que se ve en el cielo cuando vemos el la luz del relámpago.
Las secciones de mohair y calados, representan al fauno y la naturaleza.

“Existe la tradición de que Numa, mediante una estratagema, obligó a Pico y a su hijo Fauno a revelarle el secreto de invocar el relámpago desde el cielo (Elicio) y de purificar las cosas golpeándolas con el rayo”.

Es un chal asimétrico, también llamado en forma de cometa. Lleva una espina central bien diferenciada.
A lo largo del chal podemos ver dos secciones muy bien diferenciadas entre si.
Es un chal muy fácil, con un calado muy fácil de recordar. Apto para principiantes.

HILADO

• Fingering (morado) CP: 400m (En la muestra se ha usado 1 madeja 400m/100gr de Luxury sock de Feliz y Punto yarns, color Poison)
• Lace mohair (verde) CC: 340m (En la muestra se ha usado casi 1 madeja 420m/50gr de Silk & Mohair de Tanana yarns, color Moss) Se puede adaptar a otros hilado, teniendo en cuenta que el metraje y las agujas serán diferentes.

MEDIDAS
225/230cm de ancho x 70cm de alto después del bloqueo.

This challenge consist of making your own design  based on 3 words.

In this edition, we had to use a solid stain and be based on the faun and the lightning.

The garter stitch sections, in purple, represent lightning as it is the color seen in the sky when we see its light. Mohair and drafts sections represent faun and nature.
“There is a tradition that Numa, by means of a stratagem, forced Pico and his son Fauno to reveal to him the secret of invoking lightning from the sky (Elicio) and of purifying things by striking them with lightning”.

It is an asymmetrical shawl, also called, shaped like a kite. Has a well differentiated central spine.

Throughout the shawl we can see two very well differentiated sections.  

It is a very easy shawl, with a lace that is also very easy to remember. Suitable for begginers.

YARN

Purple color (CA): Fingering weight yarn (400m/100gr)

The sample was knited with Feliz y Punto yarns (Luxury Sock, poison color)

Green color (CB): Lace mohair yarn (450m/50gr)

The sample was knited with Tanana Yarns (Silk&Mohair, moss color)

Can adapt to other yarn type, but the footage and needles will change.
