I designed Chalcedony as an easy to wear, comfy layering piece. It’s perfect to keep cozy in the house or for running out to get the mail or extra firewood. Also it’s not so bulky that you can’t wear it under your winter jacket.
Named after a type of blue quartz, Chalcedony is a fun knit. Make one in blue or your own favorite color!
Sweater is worked from the bottom edge up in one piece. Fronts and back are divided and worked separately. Shoulders are joined with three needle bind off. Stitches for sleeves are picked up and worked in the round. Finally stitches for the front bands are picked up and worked.
