CHAMAELEON - The Square It is a huge square-shaped shawl which is all about „marling with mini skeins“. You start this version in the middle with only one bobble and then proceed in the round adding bobbles at the four corners until you almost run out of yarn. Just keep enough yarn left for an iCord bind-off that makes a neat finish for this shawl.
You hold two threads together throughout which makes it a quick knit and a perfect canvas to marl on with your colours. My sample was made with our Frida Fuchs advent calendar kit - I held one thread of fingering weight and one thread of silk mohair together throughout You can use any kind of yarn - this project is a great stash buster.

CHAMAELEON - The Square ist ein großes quadratisches Tuch bei dem sich alles ums „Marling mit mini skeins“ dreht. Man startet in der Mitte mit einer Noppe und strickt dann in Runden weiter – mit Noppen in den vier Ecken – bis das Garn fast aufgebraucht ist. Es muss nur genug Garn für den iCord übrig bleiben, der dem Tuch eine saubere Abschlußkante gibt. Man strickt immer mit zwei Fäden – dadurch strickt sich das Tuch relativ schnell und es ergibt sich ein perfekter Hintergrund für das ma(r)len mit den Farben.
Mein Original ist mit einem Frida Fuchs Adventskalender Kit gestrickt - mit je einem Faden fingering weight Garn und Silk Mohair zusammen. Es eignet sich jedoch jedes fingering weight Garn - das Projekt eignet sich wunderbar zur Resteverwertung.
